Course Description:
This instructor-led course is intended to be delivered at the local level. This is a seminar-based training course designed for workers at height utilizing personal fall protection systems when performing tree climbing operations. A stationary rope system is a type of personal fall protection system (positioning system) that consists of an adjustment device such as a prussic hitch or mechanical hitch that advances or descends along a stationary vertical lifeline. In this course attendees will learn components of the acronym ABCELL which identifies the components of the personal fall protection system as anchorage, body support, connecting device, equipment, lanyard, and lifeline. Tree climbing techniques and equipment will be explained, demonstrated by instructors.
