Course Description:
This instructor-led course is intended to be delivered at the local level. According to OSHA, a Danger (Hazard) Tree is “a standing tree that presents a hazard to employees due to conditions such as, but not limited to, deterioration or physical damage to the root system, trunk, stem or limbs, and the direction and lean of the tree.” This seminar-based course meets the challenges workers face when performing tree removal operations where danger or hazard trees are located in proximity to targets such as roads, buildings, and infrastructure that require special technical skills and equipment to safely fell trees into designated drop zones. Specialty cutting techniques and equipment will be explained, demonstrated by instructors.
