Manufactured from durable, high-alloy material, the Ultra X3 is available in three sizes for drilling rigs up to a 40,000-lb drill range, including the recently launched D24 horizontal directional drill. Featuring a unique, non-torque spline connection system for quick tooling switches, the Ultra X3 eliminates the need for starter rods and adapters in specific applications and ground conditions.

- Robust spline connection system makes it so tooling doesn’t have to be threaded on, eliminating the need for breakout tongs to make and break torqued tooling connections
- Capable of handling the torque of reaming diameters up to 12-in in most conditions directly from the transmitter housing with the full offering of plate bits and rock tooling
- Quick-connect on the bit side of the housing allows contractors to skip the expense of starter rods and collars in certain applications

The Vermeer Ultra X3 drilling system features a durable high-alloy housing that supports three different sizes, suitable for drilling rigs with a capacity of up to 40,000 lb. It enables fast tooling changes without requiring specialty tools or breakout devices.
Ultra X3 375
The Ultra X3 375 is designed for horizontal directional drills (HDDs) in the 40,000-lb drill range. It is compatible with the Vermeer D40x55 S3 or Ditch Witch® JT40 HDD.
Ultra X3 325
The Ultra X3 325 is designed for HDDs in the 24,000-lb drill range. It is compatible with the Vermeer D23x30 S3, Vermeer D24x40 S3, Vermeer D24 or Ditch Witch JT30 HDD.
Ultra X3 275
The Ultra X3 275 is designed for HDDs in the 10,000-lb drill range. It is compatible with the Vermeer D10x15 S3 or Ditch Witch JT10 HDD.
